Scope of Delivery

It comes with a box, along with the two units of walkie talkies. The NiMH chargeable batteries also included a user manual in which I got a more in-depth understanding of how to use the product, troubleshoot, and set it up. Warranty card and or accessory brochure comes with the product, and the standard policy is within one year. Also, it came in with a two micro USB charging cable for recharging the unit and two belt clips.

Setup

It’s as easy as 1, 2, and 3. I am amazed that I can use it by recharging the battery or installing 3 AA (alkaline) batteries. I suggest that you read the product instructions (which also comes in the box) first for more information on using it for the first time. Before anything else, I make sure to check all necessary accessories are complete. Once checked, install the rechargeable battery at first to check if there is extended battery life. If not, then it’s time to charge.

Sure it is waterproof as they say it is weatherproof and has IP-54 standards. It can withstand water, dust, rain, and other weather conditions. Just make sure the battery compartments are covered so it will not damage the insides.

While I can also opt to put 3 AA alkaline batteries in case there is no electricity in the area. Battery life may take up to 21 hours of use and last for a few days, given that occasional consumption only.

Range

The range is about a maximum of 35 miles as per the manufacturer. It is indeed helpful when I use it outdoors, especially when biking around the neighborhood, camping, or even hiking. However, the range calculation may vary in certain conditions. For optimum performance, when using the product, we have to make sure that we don’t use the radios not closer than five feet apart.
